Automation with the ixArma 7 Alarm Server
Many customers are far from taking full advantage of the capabilities our software offers. This is because often only a small portion of the alarm processes is managed through our ixArma software suite. Very often, different systems are used in parallel, even though every conceivable emergency scenario can be modeled and technically implemented via ixArma. So if a fire alarm system, gas detection system, various PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) from different manufacturers, and a building management system (BMS) need to be configured and monitored, things quickly become confusing. At the latest when colleagues leave and there is a lack of documentation, managing the technical systems becomes a real challenge, often requiring night shifts and special weekend assignments.
That is why it is well worth turning to ixArma. As a result, all events can not only be monitored but also managed in detail via our modern user interface—from notifications and access permissions to alarms, across all communication channels.

The Challenge
In automation, customers often need to set up and monitor not only gas and fire alarm systems but also building management systems, perimeter controls, and video surveillance. Control mechanisms must be developed and continuously updated. When system adjustments are made, they must be recorded and logged in as much detail as possible. Thanks to our open system architecture, any third-party systems can be integrated.
Our ixArma software, proven and reliably functioning for over two decades, is available to you as a cloud solution in our own data centers in Zurich or, for EU customers, in Amsterdam and Frankfurt (additional locations upon request) through our partners at Leaseweb. All data centers meet the highest standards and leave no room for doubt regarding security and availability.
INAX configures and implements your ixArma 7 alarm server according to your needs and within your budget, and manages the applications 365 days a year with 24/7 monitoring. Is high availability within a cluster not sufficient for your security requirements? We also offer replication across two different locations or full geo-redundancy across three locations. You decide whether you prefer bare-metal servers or if virtual servers better meet your needs. We exclusively use HPE servers and NVMe for data storage.
Thanks to virtualization in our data centers, all applications are highly available and can be supplemented at any time with your own applications, which we provide to you in Docker containers.
With ixArma 7, you can automate in the cloud on your own VPS, with cost-effective portal solutions, or, as before, with your own on-premises installation.
A wide range of interfaces (Modbus, ESPA, ESPA X, OPC UA, REST, XML, and many more) ensures comprehensive and reliable connectivity. All technical connections are clearly displayed in the ixArma user interface once established. As a result, our customers can manage all alerting processes through a single user interface. This means that all alerting processes can also be controlled within our app. You therefore do not need to be at your workstation to receive, trigger, or continuously monitor alerts.
